What would make this app better would be integrations with some of what Apple provides. At first, it looks like it does but then the system stays armed and I have to tap again. Also, sometimes when I tap to disarm, it doesn’t take. My biggest complaint about the app is that sometimes it doesn’t load, I just get a white screen. On the newer system, we got some more features but I don’t know if the different system had those or the app added those. The White House says Iran has also sent personnel to Russian-controlled Crimea to provide technical support in the operation of the drones. The finding comes after US President Joe Biden's administration in August said the Russian military had taken delivery of hundreds of Iranian-manufactured drones for use in Ukraine. “We're talking about artillery shells, not missiles,” he said. “And now we have indications that they have purchased and that they're on the move,” he said.Ĭiting western efforts to resupply the Ukrainian military, Mr Kirby said that the North Korean shipments are “not going to change the course of the war”. Mr Kirby said indications first came in September that Russia was seeking to buy millions of rockets and artillery shells from North Korea for the war in Ukraine. He added that North Korea is trying to disguise these shipments to make it look like they are being sent to the Middle East or North Africa. Iran preparing 1,000 missiles and drones for shipment to Russia It has been a lifelong commitment for Stephane and Monica who have both spent some 38 years strictly dedicated to this vocation. This has indirectly served to compliment the work of her husband Stephane Rene, who happens to be one of very few Coptic iconographers with an understanding of the innate spiritual essence that informs this artistic expression known as the sacred art of the Orthodox Church. Relatively speaking, only a marginal few would be familiar with the name Monica Rene as well, whom, through Fanous’ suggestion relinquished her work as a fashion journalist, on glossy women’s magazine like Vogue, to forage through the hallowed halls of history, photograph and learn about Iconology which led her to do her PhD research in (Coptic) Art History. His introduction of a new iconographic canon and the renewal of Coptic Art in Egypt in the contemporary period is an outstanding achievement which is intimately linked with him as the founder of the Neo-Coptic style of iconography. Very few would have even heard the name Isaac Fanous Youssef (1919-2007) much more to be aware that he single handedly revived true Coptic iconography in the mid-20th century. On the broad scope relatively little is known of authentic Coptic Iconography or Coptic Art, which originated in Egypt around the 3rd C. Neo-Coptic icon of the Flight into Egypt – Stéphane René 2020 In fact, monochrome in the art world can be as complicated or even more complicated than other polychromatic art.New Advanced and Essentials Series monochrome models join the Sharp product family offering enhanced connectivity and leading security for today's hybrid work environments This is not monochromatic in the strictly scientific meaning of the word. However, monochromatic also has another meaning similar to “boring” or “colorless” which sometimes leads to creating a design composed from true monochromatic color shades (one hue fading to black), and the colors created from the one hue but faded to all wavelengths (to white). That means according to science the true monochromatic images can be strictly created only of shades of one color fading to black. Monochromatic in science means consisting of a single wavelength of light or other radiation (lasers, for example, usually produce monochromatic light), or having or appearing to have only one color (in comparison to polychromatic). The relative absence of hue contrast can be offset by variations in tone and the addition of texture. The use of a monochromatic color provides a strong sense of visual cohesion and can help support communication objectives through the use of connotative color. Monochromatic color schemes provide opportunities in art and visual communications design as they allow for a greater range of contrasting tones that can be used to attract attention, create focus and support legibility. Tints are achieved by adding white, thereby increasing lightness Shades are achieved by adding black, thereby decreasing lightness Tones are achieved by adding gray, thereby decreasing colorfulness. Monochromatic color gradient on color wheelĪ monochromatic color scheme comprises ( tones, tints, and shades) of a single hue. This is sometimes required in cases where a color image would render in a confusing manner given the colors and patterns present in the source image and the selection filters used (typically red and its complement, cyan). The selection of weighting thus allows a wide range of artistic expression in the final monochromatic image.įor production of an anaglyph image the original color stereogram source may first be reduced to monochrome in order to simplify the rendering of the image. If the red channel is eliminated and the green and blue combined then the effect will be similar to that of orthochromatic film or the use of a cyan filter on panchromatic film. The weighting of individual channels may be selected to achieve a desired artistic effect if only the red channel is selected by the weighting then the effect will be similar to that of using a red filter on panchromatic film. In digital photography, monochrome is the capture of only shades of black by the sensor, or by post-processing a color image to present only the perceived brightness by combining the values of multiple channels (usually red, blue, and green). Although color photography was possible even in the late 19th century, easily used color films, such as Kodachrome, were not available until the mid-1930s. Originally, all photography was done in monochrome. In film photography, monochrome is typically the use of black-and-white film. it may mean having only one color which is either on or off (also known as a binary image),Ī monochrome computer display is able to display only a single color, often green, amber, red or white, and often also shades of that color. In computing, monochrome has two meanings: It may also refer to sepia displaying tones from light tan to dark brown or cyanotype ("blueprint") images, and early photographic methods such as daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, and tintypes, each of which may be used to produce a monochromatic image. Of an image, the term monochrome is usually taken to mean the same as black and white or, more likely, grayscale, but may also be used to refer to other combinations containing only tones of a single color, such as green-and-white or green-and-red. In physics, monochromatic light refers to electromagnetic radiation that contains a narrow band of wavelengths, which is a distinct concept. Images using only shades of grey are called grayscale (typically digital) or black-and-white (typically analog). A Philips branded digital audio player with a monochrome display with green backlit, common on older such devices including mobile phones and handheld game systemsĪ monochrome or monochromatic image, object or palette is composed of one color (or values of one color). Do you hope to travel? To Paris, or someplace a little cheaper? How often do you want to eat out? Go to the movies? The beach? Do you want to move closer to the beach? The grandchildren? These questions may seem trivial now, but they can help give you an idea about the income you’ll need in the future. To figure out exactly what it will take to retire in comfort, it’s important to consider what kind of lifestyle you expect to lead in retirement. How Much Do I Need to Retire? Photo credit: © iStock/skynesher It can be boiled down to one simple question: How much do I need to save to retire? By putting away a percentage of your income every month from now until you retire, you can do away with the financial anxieties far too many seniors find themselves facing. But a sound retirement savings plan doesn’t have to be complicated. It is loaded with negative connotations: Expensive investment advisors, large stacks of documents and complex spreadsheets, to name a few. That phrase - sound retirement strategy - is where many of us lose interest. For some, that may turn out to be true, but such success stories are more a result of good luck than a sound retirement strategy. To put it another way: It’s common to assume that if we save in good faith, things will work themselves out. The common assumption is that some savings, in addition to Social Security and a less expensive lifestyle (no more kids in the house, no more commuting costs) will all add up to financial security in our sunset years. For most retirees, there are other sources of retirement income besides savings, Social Security being chief among them. On the other hand, just as it’s unwise to save nothing at all, it’s unrealistic to try and save every penny that isn’t already dedicated to paying bills or buying groceries. Want to know how to retire comfortably? Start saving. If money is scarce, however, financial anxiety could crowd these pleasures out. At its best, retirement is a time when the stresses of years one through 65 (or so) fade, leaving room for relaxation, delectation and grandchildren. Needless to say, the save-nothing approach is not recommended. Indeed, surveys have repeatedly shown that the average American retirement savings is too low and that significant numbers of Americans in their 30s, 40s and even 50s have no retirement savings at all.ĭo you need help planning for your retirement? Amid this daily grind, it’s easy to put retirement savings on the back burner, especially when it’s 15, 20 or 30 years off. There are, after all, more immediate concerns: Job, kids, mortgage payments and car payments, among other costs. We may fantasize about international adventures or beachside escapes, but rarely do we lay the groundwork for realizing our retirement dreams financially. The iPod's operating system is stored on its dedicated storage medium. An additional NOR flash ROM chip (either 1 MB or 512 KB) contains a bootloader program that tells the device to load its OS from the storage medium. Each iPod also has 32 MB of RAM, although the 60 GB and 80 GB fifth generation, and the sixth-generation models have 64 MB. For example, an iPod could spin its hard disk up once and copy approximately 30 MB of upcoming songs into RAM, thus saving power by not requiring the drive to spin up for each song.Ī portion of the RAM is used to hold the iPod OS loaded from firmware, but the majority of it serves to cache songs from the storage medium. Secondly and more seriously you could end up with two copies of your photos. You should get an email if the script ever fails so watch out for that. Apps Script has a time limit and so it's possible that it could fail if moving a large number of photos. There are a few steps to follow but it's pretty straightforward - you should only need to change two lines in the script to get this working for your account.įirst two four caveats to be aware of. There is a way to get Drive backup working again using Google Apps Script and the Google Photos API. I love Google Photos but I don't trust it - I pull everything into Drive and then I stick a monthly backup from there onto an external drive in a fire safe. Google has decided that backing up your photos via Google Drive is ' confusing' and so Drive based backup is going away this month. I have a tool that does some deduplication and puts everything in year/month folders. My personal approach at this point is to use Google Takeout to get a periodic archive of my most recent year of photos and videos. The Google Photos API has too many bugs that Google doensn't seem interested in fixing. Warning - I no longer recommend using this script to backup Google Photos.
